CERTIFIED SPANISH UNIVERSITY COURSES

QUALIFY FOR A STUDENT VISA

EARN U.S. UNIVERSITY CREDITS

OLSA Internacional has established itself as the gold standard for language acquisition in Colombia, ranked as the #1 Spanish/English academy in the country by LuxLife Magazine in 2025. This prestigious recognition reflects the academy’s commitment to academic excellence and its unique “active learning” philosophy that prioritizes oral fluency over mere grammar theory.

A cornerstone of the Certified Spanish program is its rigorous official standing. OLSA is inspected and certified by the Secretary of Education of Medellín, ensuring every course meets high national standards and legally authorizing the academy to sponsor student visas for foreign learners. Further elevating its global profile, OLSA maintains an international certification with Bureau Veritas, a worldwide leader in testing and quality assurance.

For students seeking academic advancement, OLSA’s alliance with Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah, provides a revolutionary bridge. As the only academy in Colombia with this partnership, OLSA allows students to earn transferable U.S. university credits. This synergy ensures that whether you are a professional, a university student, or a traveler, your immersion experience carries significant weight on an official global transcript.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

At OLSA, our comprehensive language program is built on two essential pillars: La Gramática Española y Conversación De Español. Together, these classes provide a balanced approach that ensures you aren’t just memorizing rules, but actually using the language in the real world.

The Grammar Curriculum:
  • Uses the university-accredited Vistas y Facetas systems, trusted by over 100 U.S. universities.
  • Aligned with international CEFR levels (A1–B2) and Westminster University standards.
  • Provides a certified, structured foundation for long-term academic and professional success.

The Conversational Curriculum:
While grammar provides the structure, our conversational classes bring the language to life. We believe true fluency happens outside the restrictions of a textbook. This curriculum features:
  • Lessons designed by native speakers using themed stories and multimedia.
  • Focus on colloquial Spanish used in markets, social events, and daily street life.
  • An immersive environment that helps expats and students bridge the gap between “classroom Spanish” and “real-world Spanish.”

By prioritizing these conversational sessions, OLSA ensures you gain the confidence to make friends and navigate Spanish-speaking cultures naturally.

Note: In Colombia, this program provides an occupational certificate in Spanish (levels A1–B2) certified by Medellin’s Secretary of Education. While not a university degree locally, our alliance with Westminster University in Utah allows you to earn 9 US university credits per level toward your degree in the United States.

THE WESTMINSTER UNIVERSITY ALLIANCE

Westminster University has partnered with OLSA International in Medellin to offer students an immersive Spanish language experience with the advantage of earning official U.S. university credit. This collaboration ensures that students receive high-quality, tailored instruction while gaining an official transcript from an accredited U.S. institution, solidifying the academic value of their time abroad.

Designed for all proficiency levels, OLSA’s courses help students make significant strides in fluency and comprehension. The resulting transcript is a globally recognized credential that supports both academic and professional goals, reflecting Westminster University’s commitment to enriching global education.

  1. Indicate Interest: Mark your preference for academic credit when completing your New Student Packet.
  2. Pay the Fee: A transfer fee of $450 USD is required for every two sessions of tuition purchased.
