        • Parchar<\/strong> (To hang out): Chilling with friends with no fixed plan. The group of friends itself is called a parche<\/em>.<\/span>
          • Example:<\/em> “Vamos a parchar al Parque del Poblado.” (Let’s go hang out at Poblado Park.)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
          • Charro<\/strong> (Funny or weird): In other countries, this means a Mexican cowboy. For us, if a joke or situation is funny, it\u2019s charro<\/em>.<\/span>
            • Example:<\/em> “Ese chiste estuvo muy charro.” (That joke was really funny.)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
            • Chicharr\u00f3n<\/strong> (A big problem \/ A mess): Literally, it\u2019s delicious fried pork belly. In daily life, it means a massive headache of a situation.<\/span>

                • Prendido<\/strong> (Tipsy): You aren\u2019t drunk (borracho<\/em>) yet, but the music is sounding better and you’re ready to dance.<\/span><\/li>
                • Azarado<\/strong> (Scared, anxious, or worried): Feeling stressed or nervous about a situation.<\/span>

                  • Visaje<\/strong> (Showing off or acting suspicious): “Dar visaje”<\/em> means to draw unwanted attention to yourself (like holding an expensive iPhone in a sketchy neighborhood).<\/span>

                        • Pailas<\/strong> (Too bad \/ You’re out of luck): Used when things don’t go your way. If you arrive late to the restaurant and they ran out of mondongo<\/em> soup: pailas<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>
                        • Sisas \/ Nocas<\/strong> (Yes \/ No): The slang versions of s\u00ed<\/em> y no<\/em>.<\/span>
                          • Example:<\/em> “\u00bfVamos por unas polas (beers)? \u2014\u00a1Sisas!” (Should we grab some beers? \u2014Yes!)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                          • Azotar baldosa<\/strong> (To dance a lot): Literally translates to “to whip the floor tile.” It\u2019s used when you dance salsa or reggaeton so hard that you are practically sweeping the floor with your shoes.<\/span><\/li>
                          • Gonorrea<\/strong> (Wow \/ Intense \/ Terrible \/ Awesome): Warning:<\/strong> This is technically a disease and can be a highly offensive insult. However, among close friends, it\u2019s used for everything. If a situation is incredibly bad, it’s a gonorrea<\/em>. If a roller coaster is terrifyingly fast, it’s a gonorrea<\/em>. Use this only<\/em> if you are 100% comfortable with the group!<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
